Nikwax Tech Wash

Breathable, waterproof garments are likely to get sweaty and wet when worn in damp or wet conditions. If the outer fabric absorbs water, the clothing can lose up to 70% of its breathability so the waterproofing system can’t work as well as its supposed to. Nikwax Tech Wash is a washing liquid that can help maintain or even re waterproof a jacket.

Clothing needs to be breathable because of how waterproofing works. If the fabric can’t breathe, moisture will build up on the body, making the waterproofing rather redundant. Nikwax Direct Wash washes in waterproofing on jackets that have slowly, with use, lost it, and Nikwax Tech Wash helps the longevity of waterproofing on newly waterproofed clothing and wash said clothing. All you need to do is, if the clothing has been in a normal wash, do a rinse wash without any detergent to get rid of all soapy residue or detergent that has clung to the fabric and then use tech wash as though it was a normal washing liquid.
